These were started at the same time as Pohádka yet all bar one are  waiting to be finished.

Stories I told myself that got me painting again after a long gap. With much rethinking and endless revisions, some fell by the wayside leaving four paintings.

I identified with free-wheeling birds in childhood, later it was storks in my little Czech village. I think this is the final form where I surprised myself with the echo of an enigmatic painting of Poussin

 During lockdown I was asked for a self portrait yet had done nothing similar for over 40 years, so a steep learning curve
